We are currently seeking individuals who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Asymptomatic HIV positive individuals with CD4+ cell counts over 500, without any opportunistic infections.
  • HIV-positive individuals who have progressed to disease but are being controlled by treatment.
  • HIV-positive individuals who have a CD4+ cell count less than 100 and are not on treatment.
  • HIV-positive individuals with Kaposi's sarcoma (untreated - i.e. new cases).

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP - Post-doctoral positions are available for candidates who have experience in molecular biology, protein chemistry, immunology, virology, or stem cell biology and have obtained a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. The research undertaken involves the viral and immunological features of HIV pathogenesis. The position is in the Laboratory for Tumor and AIDS Virus Research at the University of California, San Francisco. The candidate must meet the NIH qualifications for fellowship (a citizen or permanent resident of the United States).
